Against the stunning backdrop of the Andes mountain range, most of the vineyards are all located here in the west of the country, with the most important and largest wine-producing region located in Mendoza.
With the grape-ripening temperatures of summer, the snow capped Andes provide the necessary moisture through an intricate irrigation system which delivers water in abundance to the vineyards.
The dry air and lack of humidity prevents the spread of vine disease thus reducing the need for spraying.
